This is Nigeria, this is home

Part 1: This is Nigeria

This is Nigeria. This is home. That’s us.

Residing within, is everyone we love – family, friends and fellow citizens.

In it are properties we own – lands, homes, cars …

This is Nigeria.

With its peculiar ruling class, a blood sucking group, vampires with no empathy.

Political class, elites, presidents, governors, and traditional heads –

A group that has failed and failed, over and over again, for country and for citizenry.

They revel in wanton stealing of our collective, our commonwealth.

Part 2: Nigeria’s challenging diversity

This is Nigeria. A land of diverse tongues, cultures and religions.

Attributes that have served as a double-edged sword,

bringing citizens together in joyous harmony but cleaving them apart with hatred and disgust.

This is Nigeria with millions of disappointed citizens, home and abroad,

Citizen heroes and villains, saints and sinners.

Like it or not, Nigeria is an important stage, a union common to us all – Kings and peasant alike.

There is perhaps no better demonstration of this unity than the joys we share with sports triumps and …

Our collective laments of pervasive insecurity and the economy sufferings we endure.

This underscores our collective responsibility to rebuild this country, for our common good,

For our collective peace of mind.

To ensure that the joys and happiness outstrips our sorrows and laments.

And to give the hope and promise of a country inclusive of everyone and one that works for all.

We have to do this, and we can. We have to achieve it.

There is no hope that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

Part 3: A luta continua,Vitória é certa

This is Nigeria and It’s all we got … at least for most.

We must join hands to rebuild, to develop, to preserve and cherish it.

It’s got to be a collaborative effort and no positive contribution is small.

A new election cycle is here. Think about your options well. Think about choices at all levels.

Presidential down to the local government elective seats.

This is Nigeria and It is where we will make our stand.

Nowhere else is home the way Nigeria is home.

Know that and never ever forget it!
